WHAT WE DO

The Friends of the Sammamish Library are a dedicated group of community members who volunteer their time to support and advocate for our community library.

We sponsor and supplement many of the programs the library offers for kids, teens, and adults with funds we raise through a year-round book sale, book auctions, and a large annual used book sale each fall. You’ll find our book sale and current auction on the shelves right inside the library’s main doors.

In addition to money earned from book sales and membership fees, monetary donations also support our programs. In the past few years corporate matching funds, in particular, have allowed us to boost spending on library programs. Companies like Boeing, Microsoft, Google and others allow employee contributions to go even further in supporting the library.
